Recent Book Talks:

In April through June 2017, I undertook a personal visit to Pakistan. To my pleasant surprise, during this trip I met some individuals who had read my book and wanted me to give book talks in Karachi and Islamabad, which I did. During this trip I also got an opportunity to sit for an interview on two TV channels. While these interviews were in URDU language, this gave me an opportunity to introduce my book to a larger audience in Pakistan. I hope those who know URDU will find the time to see these. In these interviews I try and explain the geopolitical interests of the U.S., China, Pakistan, India, Iran and Afghanistan, who are the main stake holders in the U.S. war in Afghanistan.

  • March 29, 2016: At Karachi Gymkhana, Karachi, Pakistan. Moderated by Zafar Hilaly, former ambassador of Pakistan to Yemen. Panelists included, ambassador Iqbal Akhund and ambassador Masuma Hasan. Ambassador Akhund was former ambassador of Pakistan to France and United Nations and former national security advisor to former prime minister of Pakistan Benazir Bhutto.
